Material and labor shortages have become the biggest headache for preconstruction estimators. Find out what else ails the estimators in the preconstruction industry.
An overwhelming majority of estimators have identified material and labor shortages as the most troublesome area in the preconstruction industry, Niche SSP reports in its 2022 poll on the subject.
A total of 1390 US based estimators took part in the poll, which sought their opinion about their “biggest stress” in the preconstruction sector. A quick look at the construction industry’s affairs reveals that it too faces material and labor shortages.
Moreover, a quarter of the estimators said juggling “too many projects” was also a source of stress in their line of work. The next stressor the estimators believe is the role of poor leadership.
The poll also showed that 5% of estimators believed that using inefficient technology was troublesome for them.
