Nashville, Tennessee, is the most sought-after location for a construction estimator job, according to a poll carried out by Niche SSP.
Niche SSP, a hiring partner in the construction industry, asked 1,307 construction estimators to tell “which location would you prefer if you were to relocate for an estimating opportunity”.
During the poll, they were asked to pick the best city — out of Charlotte, Miami, Dallas, and Nashville — for a construction estimator job.
The poll results show that 31 percent of the construction estimators chose Nashville as their preferred destination for a construction estimator job.
According to the construction estimator salary poll, a senior estimator’s salary in Nashville falls between $105,000-$144,000, a commercial estimator’s salary between $80,000-$100,000, and a junior estimator’s salary between $70,000-$80,000.
The second best city for a construction estimator job was identified as Charlotte, North Carolina, by 26 percent of the surveyed estimators.
The construction estimator salary poll shows a senior estimator’s salary in Charlotte ranges between $107,000-$142,000, and a commercial estimator’s salary falls between $72,000-93,000.
Moreover, the salary for a senior preconstruction manager in Charlotte ranges between $133,000-$159,000, while the salary for the preconstruction manager falls between $115,000-$138,000.
Miami is ranked as the third most popular city for a construction estimator job, according to 22 percent of the surveyed estimators.
While 21 percent of the estimators say they would prefer Dallas if they relocate for an estimating job.
The salary for the director of a preconstruction company in Dallas ranges between $170,000-$210,000 while the salary for the preconstruction manager of a preconstruction company rests between $130,000-$170,000.
According to the construction estimator salary poll, a senior estimator’s salary in Dallas falls between $110,000-$145,000, a commercial estimator’s salary between $80,000-$110,000, and a junior estimator’s salary between $65,000-$80,000.
