The results collected so far indicate that cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Chicago have better salary structures for commercial estimators, preconstruction managers, etc. 

The construction estimator salary survey also shows that cities like Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Orlando are not far behind the top paying cities.

1. San Francisco: The salary for the vice president of a preconstruction company in San Francisco, California, ranges between $247,000-$370,000 while the salary for director of a preconstruction company rests between $181,000-$249,000.

According to the construction estimator salary poll, a preconstruction manager’s salary in San Francisco falls between $129,000-$171,000, a commercial estimator’s salary between $96,000-$133,000, and a junior estimator’s salary between $75,000-$94,000. 

2. Los Angeles:
The construction estimator salary poll shows that the salary for a vice president of a preconstruction company in Los Angeles ranges between $243,000-$358,000 while the salary for the director of a preconstruction company falls between $25,000-$244,000.

Moreover, a preconstruction manager’s salary in Los Angeles ranges between $125,000-$165,000, a commercial estimator’s salary falls between $91,000-128,000, and a junior estimator’s salary between $68,000-$88,000. 

3. Sacramento: The salary for the vice president of a preconstruction company in Sacramento ranges between $228,000-$312,000 while the salary for the director of a preconstruction company rests between $181,000-$249,000.
