Construction estimators have busy work schedules, which require them to perform multiple tasks — like site visits, client meetings, and a plethora of estimating work.

They are the ones who are responsible for crafting perfection in the shape of bids to win profitable contracts for their employers. 

Organizations can introduce a culture of collaboration and cooperation at work if they lead their teams with trust and care, say 66 percent of the surveyed estimators.

Niche SSP interviewed 1,285 construction estimators in different cities to identify values they hold dear at work. They were asked: “What makes for a good culture?

Research shows creativity and productivity are closely linked to the relationships employers maintain with their employees.

Many organizations understand the phenomenon and allow their employees more flexibility and autonomy in work as an expression of trust and care. 

Niche SSP survey further states that 21 percent of the interviewed construction estimators believe “clear values and defined goals” make for a good culture. 

In a world where better salaries and bonuses prove crucial in hiring the best talent, better cultures create incentives for employees to create value — and take pride in their organizations.

For another 11 percent of the construction estimators, creating a sense of community among employees improves work culture, the survey results show. 

Diversity and inclusion are essential for good culture, say another 2 percent of the interviewed construction estimators.

Niche SSP has reached out to thousands of commercial estimators, senior estimators, junior estimators, and other preconstruction professionals in order to shed light on the affairs of the construction industry.

It has worked extensively to identify cities with great salaries for construction estimators, the benefits of incorporating technology in construction estimating, and some of the gravest challenges facing the construction business today.
