We are looking for an experienced Senior Preconstruction professional to take up a department leading role with one of the nations leading construction firms.
As the Preconstruction Director for Atlanta, GA you will take on a pivotal role in shaping project elements, creating detailed budgets, and ensuring effective communication of the project vision. As an advocate for our clients, you'll navigate evolving preconstruction assignments, multiple budgets, and design modifications.
Working closely with the Vice President of Preconstruction, you'll collaborate with owners, architects, consultants, and our preconstruction staff to develop comprehensive budgets, impactful presentations, and other essential project deliverables. With a focus on private development, you'll support various business sectors across our regional offices.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate project plans, requirements, and specifications.
- Assess labor and equipment costs.
- Review quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
- Analyze bid documents and identify project risks.
- Understand project logistics and the schedule.
- Prepare comprehensive bid packages.
- Compare and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Collaborate with the Project Management Team on quotes and estimates.
- Lead a team of estimators to develop accurate multidisciplinary estimates.
- Prepare estimates at different project stages.
- Contribute to post-bid buyout activities.
- Lead responses to RFPs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 7-15 years of experience in estimating or construction management.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, costs, and engineering principles.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
- Capable of prioritizing work and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
