Key Responsibilities

‍
As an Estimator, you will contribute to the success of preconstruction services by preparing estimates and supporting project planning. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing accurate estimates for assigned scopes of work.
• Demonstrating basic knowledge of unit pricing and cost analysis.
• Leading smaller projects with minimal oversight.
• Soliciting and negotiating vendor pricing for assigned scopes.
• Creating and managing bid package scopes and assisting with bid manuals.
• Updating and maintaining historical cost data and estimating software.
• Recommending improvements to software and estimating processes.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to obtain accurate quantities.
• Ensuring all tasks align with company standards and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Proficiency with industry software, including Autodesk and takeoff/estimating tools.
• Strong math, accounting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
