Our client is a full- service, award winning construction firm with expertise in high profile, complex projects for both public & private sector customers. They specialize in new facilities, renovations, restorations & modernizations of large-scale commercial, institutional and government buildings, including offices, colleges/schools, courthouses, laboratories, data centers, multifamily, & more. Their annual revenues are in excess of $525 million and bonding capacity is $1 billion aggregate. Due to their ongoing success, they are looking for a MEP Estimator to join their office in Rockville, MD
On Offer
The MEP Estimator will work closely with the Director of Estimating and Preconstruction department on competitive bids, design-builds, competitive GMPs, and conceptual estimates. The MEP estimator’s primary focus will be trades involving fire suppression, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, communications, and/or security systems (Division 21 – 28).
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of construction experience is required. Experience should be with a general contractor or subcontractor. Construction / Estimating experience should be Mechanical and/or Electrical focused.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management is highly preferred.
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have strong organizational and math skills
- Must have strong capabilities in reading and understanding construction documents and construction project scheduling.
- Must understand the processes and sequencing of construction and be able to provide constructability input into the estimating and bidding process.
