Niche SSP is seeking a Senior Estimator to support to the Estimating Department for the Commercial General Contracting and Construction Management Division located in Charlotte, NC.Job Responsibilities

• Build and maintains positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, architects and engineers
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs utilizing industry takeoff software and conventional means
• Develop project specific scopes of work
• Develop project specific qualifications to be submitted to the Owner with RFP responses and/or Bids
• Mentor estimators and teach estimating best practices

Computer / Technology

• Excellent computer skills are a must, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project, Outlook, Power Point
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Familiar with construction take-off software such as On Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, etc.
• Ability to utilize online and cloud-based databases for research including construction related services such as Dodge, Construction Points, CDC, etc.

Education / Experience

• A four (4) year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business/Finance or related field
• 7+ years of experience as a Commercial Estimating
• Experience working in a traditional office environment
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role, company and industry
