This firm is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team. As a vital member of the preconstruction department, the Estimator will play a key role in creating accurate cost assessments and helping clients make informed decisions about their projects. Candidates with a solid foundation in conceptual estimating are highly preferred, as this role will require the ability to provide accurate estimates during the early stages of project development.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop detailed and conceptual cost estimates for various projects, including new construction, renovations, and expansions.
• Analyze project documents, including blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work, to prepare accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
• Prepare and present cost breakdowns and value engineering options to stakeholders.
• Lead quantity takeoffs and pricing efforts for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Monitor market trends and material costs to ensure competitive and realistic pricing.
• Support bid preparation and participate in bid reviews.
• Ensure all estimates align with company standards and client expectations.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in the construction industry, preferably with exposure to conceptual estimating.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building systems.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret project documents and specifications accurately.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities to convey cost data clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Florida construction markets and regulations is a plus.
