Our client is an ENR Top 100 Commercial General Contractor located in Philadelphia, PA. They are seeking a Preconstruction Manager to manage a team of estimators and other memebers of their preconstruction department on multiple projects from $800,000 - $200m. Their portfolio includes projects across a number of differenct industries including; Commercial, Multifamily, Hospitality, Entertainment, Education, Mecial Offices & more.

·  Preparation of scopes of work to support the estimating process.

·  Buyout of assigned projects.

·  Develop and maintain positive relationships with current subcontractors and assist in new subcontractor prequalification.

·  Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the latest construction materials, pricing, and trends.

·  Develop and present value engineering suggestions which adhere to the project goals.

· Continuously learn all aspects of the construction field including systems, procedures, means and methods, computer programs, management techniques, code changes, etc.

·  Management of the bidding process from inception thru completion – solicit, receive, analyze and level bids for: Conceptual Estimates, Hard Bids, Major Change Order Pricing

• Construction Management or Engineering Degree (other relevant educations)
• 8+ years Preconstruction experience within a large General Contractor
• Ability to complete Conceptual/Schematic Estimates is a huge plus!
• Ability to compehend front end documents e.g specs, general conditions, schedule contraints.
• Onsite Delivery exposure/knowlege a plus.
