Position Overview:

As a Preconstruction Manager you are tasked with overseeing the preconstruction phase, you play a critical role in shaping the initial vision and feasibility of projects.

Your duties encompass not only managing the strategic planning and coordination efforts but also ensuring the accuracy and integrity of project estimates. By leveraging your expertise in cost analysis, risk assessment, and value engineering, you contribute to the successful execution of projects, setting the stage for their eventual realization within budgetary constraints. Through effective collaboration with stakeholders and meticulous attention to detail, you drive the project forward from concept to commencement with efficiency and precision.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in estimating for large commercial projects ($100M+), showcasing proficiency in various estimation methodologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction systems and disciplines, with a preference for experience in self-performed concrete construction.
• Strong proficiency in utilizing cutting-edge estimating software and technology.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• On-site presence at our client's headquarters in Phoenix, AZ is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to generate accurate estimates and supplementary data for potential projects.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of contract documents and offer valuable insights and enhancements where necessary.
• Conduct thorough quantity take-offs, pricing, and analysis to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Cultivate strong relationships with architects, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering collaboration and mutual success.
• Lead the preconstruction process, providing guidance and best practices to the team.
• Initiate and manage bid solicitation and negotiation processes, ensuring competitive pricing and suitability of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and detailed schedules for proposed projects.
• Actively participate in Owner meetings during the estimation phase.
• Undertake special projects related to estimating, demonstrating creativity and initiative.
