Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in preconstruction management, estimating, or related field.
- Proficient in the use of construction estimating software.
- Experience leading preconstruction teams for commercial, education, light industrial, or similar market sectors.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed project deadlines and budgets.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage the preconstruction process for a variety of projects, from concept to construction start, up to $80M in value.
- Provide leadership to the preconstruction team, including estimators, schedulers, and other support staff.
- Review and analyze construction documents, specifications, and proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, architects, and engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage the bidding process, including proposal reviews, bid comparisons, and subcontractor negotiations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
