Rockville, MD - Vice President of Preconstruction

In a rare opportunity with one of the largest general contractors in the US, we are seeking a strong leader for Vice President of Preconstruction opportunity, that will report to the Executive Vice President. The client we are working with is an ENR Top 10 General Contractor, who have an incredible reputation & a large project portfolio.
The Role;
As the Vice President of Preconstruction, you will be required, to;
- Oversee the estimating and preconstruction team in the pursuit and winning of new work with client satisfaction
- Bring solutions to pursuit challenges
- Provide advice, guidance, direction, training, and motivation to the team for their professional growth
- Establish, maintain, and grow professional relationships using open communication with clients, owners and subcontractors.
- Oversee Preconstruction Directors and Estimating Managers to ensure all facets of assigned estimates and proposals are on track, completed in a timely manner, and accurate such that all departmental resources are used efficiently.
- Demonstrate knowledge of commercial construction projects including, but not limited to: Healthcare, Hospitality Education, Aviation, and many other industries.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or similar
- 15+ or more years of relevant estimating, project management and / or construction experience
- Possess thorough understanding of principles of critical path scheduling
- Utilizes excellent written and oral communications and team skills in a multi-tasking/deadline driven environment
- Experience in effectively negotiating and writing contract term with owners and clients in close collaboration with the EVP
- Experience in projects exceeding $200M in value
- Experience in estimating software tools On-Center, Insite, and Timberline or similar tools
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Office Systems Suite particularly Excel, Word, Outlook
- General knowledge, aptitude, and willingness to learn for other company software
