The Senior Estimator will provide overall direction and leadership for the collaborative preconstruction process from project pursuit through subcontractor buyout. This role will be responsible for the strategy of the estimating team, coordination between designers and owners, as well as oversight of the trade partner solicitation process.

In addition to managing key client relationships throughout the preconstruction phase, this role will coordinate with the project executive and field leadership to ensure the execution and completion of the preconstruction process.

• Leads competitive bids, negotiated proposals, cost estimates, analysis, and budgets;
• Provides active participation during project pursuits including RFP Responses and involvement in Project Interviews;
• Manages relationships with clients and design team contacts during the preconstruction phase;
• Manages relationships with vendors and subcontractors throughout the preconstruction phase;
• Performing quantitative estimating tasks as needed;
• Creates conceptual budgets;
• Partners with operations to review project collaboration; and
• Participates in job site visits, interviews, owner/architect page turns, and offsite meetings.

• 4-year Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Construction
• 7+years of industry experience; Commercial, Light Industrial and & Healthcare would be a plus!
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally;
• Knowledge of the means and methods of construction management and of specific trades and scopes of work;
• Ability to prepare quantity surveys;
• Exceptionally strong leadership, team building, detail orientation, time management and computer skills.
• Fluency in construction software, especially packaged construction estimating and management software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD and scheduling software a plus.
