Our client, an ENR Top 50 General Contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team in their Huntsville office. As a Senior Estimator you will support the Preconstruction Manager throughout the preconstruction phase of large commercial projects of up to $100M.
Responsibilities
- Perform quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate, and studies for all assigned trades and building systems
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site walk throughs with subcontractors
- Support the Lead Estimator or Preconstruction Manager in the set-up of the estimate and schedule
- Utilize Building Information Models (BIM) for quantity take-off and visualization
- Take lead role or support role in Lump Sum bids
- Mentor and manage junior staff

Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
- 4+ years’ commercial estimating experience
- Field experience desirable
- Strong conceptual estimating skills
- Proficiency with estimating technologies
