Job Description

We are thrilled to be representing our client, a leading commercial construction firm in Phoenix, AZ, in their search for a dedicated Senior Estimator. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the preconstruction process, ensuring precise and competitive estimates for a variety of commercial projects. Responsibilities

• Lead the estimation process for commercial projects, including detailed analysis of project plans, specifications, and site visits.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather essential data for precise estimates.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor bids, utilizing industry-standard software and tools.
• Implement value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and functionality.
• Prepare detailed bid packages, proposals, and cost breakdowns for client presentations and negotiations.
• Stay updated with industry trends, pricing, and new technologies to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.
• Mentor and guide junior estimators, sharing your knowledge and fostering their professional growth.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and collaborative partnerships.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, with a proven track record of successful projects in the Phoenix area.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present estimates and proposals effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of assessing project requirements and risks.
• Leadership qualities, with experience in guiding and mentoring junior staff.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
