Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Preconstruction Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering successful projects and driving the preconstruction process. Key responsibilities include:
- Representing the preconstruction team in client meetings and managing client relationships effectively.
- Preparing detailed conceptual budgets and performing value engineering analyses.
- Collaborating with design and operations teams to ensure accurate cost budgets are provided to accounting.
- Managing subcontractor relationships, bid assignments, and networking efforts.
- Leading preconstruction meetings and developing preconstruction status reports.
- Reviewing and understanding project cost reports and general conditions estimates.
- Assisting with business development strategies and subcontract review processes.
- Mentoring team members, conducting performance reviews, and promoting best practices.
- Ensuring compliance with company standards, risk management policies, and ethical guidelines.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in preconstruction.
- Exceptional skills in conceptual estimating, budgeting, and cost management.
- Proficiency in industry software, including Autodesk and estimating/takeoff tools.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
