As Senior Estimator you will work across Healthcare, Higher Education, Office, Light Industrial, Hospitality, Retail and Science & Technology projects.
On Offer
- Complete or verify the quantity survey to provide an accurate estimate.
- Prepare economic budgets by reviewing RFP's and project documents.
- Lead the collaborative process with Project Managers and Estimating team.
- Develop value engineering, proposal packages and Schedules.
- Ensure complete estimates from the conceptual stage through the final construction documents.
- Develops subcontractor solicitation lists and shares with the rest of the project team to get to know the market.
- Develops Scopes of Work to convey to the design team what has been included in the proposal/pricing.
- Completes review of the project specifications and plans, including the front-end documents.
- Discusses risk items associated with the project with the team and proposes solutions on ways to mitigate the risk.
- Reviews, finalizes, and approves project schedules and milestones prepared by the project team.
- Reviews and confirms schedule with subcontractors and material vendors
- Complete or verify the quantity survey in On-Screen Take Off or other industry methods and organizes data accordingly.
- Completes the estimate in Timberline Estimating, as started by the Estimating team.
- Develop positive relationships with Clients, Architects, Subcontractors, and Engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years Preconstruction or Estimating experience within a General Contractor
- Experience with Timberline Estimating, On-Screen Take Off, MS Project and Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to take a leadership role on estimating projects from start to finish.
