Key Responsibilities

  • Lead preconstruction activities for mission critical/data center projects including budgeting, phasing, scheduling, and scope definition
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal departments to align technical and financial goals
  • Oversee and mentor estimating and preconstruction support teams to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Support procurement strategy and vendor evaluation for specialized systems (e.g., MEP, backup power, cooling)
  • Conduct constructability reviews and develop logistics strategies aligned with aggressive schedules and zero-downtime requirements
  • Develop and present RFQs, RFPs, and client-facing proposals
  • Maintain and grow client relationships through expert consultation and industry knowledge
  • Assist in internal training and development of preconstruction staff in the mission critical sector

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in construction, including specific experience with mission critical/data center projects
  • Deep understanding of design-build and/or Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)
  • Technical knowledge of critical infrastructure systems: MEP, power distribution, HVAC, redundancy
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills with proven client engagement experience
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail and risk mitigation
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed for client interactions and site visits
